The surgeon who did my carpal tunnel surgeries 4 years ago, was so rude. The surgeon who did my ulnar nerve evaluation was even worse. My friends all said most surgeons had zero bedside manner. So for my appt today, at a new practice, Advanced Orthopeadic Associates, I saw Dr. Gwyn. He gave my wrist a thorough exam, ordered x-rays, and explained my treatment options. He allowed me to ask questions, and answered each one in detail, and then said he would begin effective treatment immediately, but said surgery down the road might be what was needed. If you’re looking for the the best hand/elbow/shoulder surgeon, I found him for you; this is your guy, AND, his bedside manner is done with kindness and a smile. 👍🏻

The best surgeon, staff & facilities hands down! Had both knees replaced and would not ever choose to go anywhere else! Best care in Wichita .. definitely worth the out of town drive!

Dr. Prohaska performed a total standard shoulder replacement on my right shoulder on 2/18/19. My shoulder was bone on bone due to arthritis; causing pain and limited movement. I did all my post op rehab at home via a protocol set up by Dr. Prohaska and his staff. All I had to do was purchase a few stretch bands and a couple of hand weights. I set up a daily schedule and tracked my progress. Now, a year later my shoulder is better, fully healed and I've been cleared to do whatever I wish except repeated heavy lifting; except at 71 I won't be doing that anyway! Finally, I'd like to express my thanks to Dr. Prohaska, Chelsea Whitetree, Candace and staff for all their care and professionalism. Clearly AOA and Dr. Prohaska will be my choice should I need them in the future. Regards, Bruce R Blackburn
