- About Dr. Shepherd
- Staff
Dr. Shepherd joined AOA after completing fellowship in adult joint reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation. A proud Goddard High School graduate, he is excited to establish private practice in his home town.
Adult reconstructive surgery includes joint replacement of the knee and hip. Dr. Shepherd specializes in joint replacement as well as revision of joint arthroplasty, osteotomy, arthroscopy, and soft-tissue reconstruction. His training included the newest techniques in minimally invasive surgery, anterior approach, and computer-assisted navigation. Computer-assisted surgery may lead to increased accuracy for implant alignment, better joint function, increased quality of life and decreased blood loss.
In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Shepherd and his wife are avid K-State fans.
