Dr. Schurman originally joined AOA from the prestigious Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He is nationally recognized as one of the foremost adult reconstructive surgery surgeons in private practice. He has served as a major contributor for the ongoing development and improvement of surgical implants for the knee and hip. In addition to his practice, he serves the Via Christi Health System in the development of the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) initiative. This program focuses on care design to improve quality of care and to reduce costs.
Of all his accomplishments, his family is that of which Dr. Schurman is most proud.
